Day 1 ARRIVE DUBLIN (2 NIGHTS)

Welcome to Dublin! Relax or spend time exploring this vibrant, friendly city. This evening, meet and get to know your companions and Travel Director at a Welcome Pub Reception, which includes a typical pub meal and drinks.

Day 2 DUBLIN SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME

Your expert Local Guide takes you on an unforgettable sightseeing tour of the city. View the picturesque Phoenix Park and the 800 year-old St. Patrick's Cathedral. Admire the ancient 'Book of Kells' at Trinity College, an extravagant illuminated manuscript of the four gospels. Spend the rest of the day seeing the sights of your choice. Perhaps visit Dublin Castle or explore the wonderful National Gallery.

Day 3 DUBLIN - KILDARE - WATERFORD

Visit the Irish National Stud Farm in Kildare on a guided walking tour, and see some of the country's finest thoroughbreds. Visit the amazing Japanese Garden, regarded as the best in Europe. See the 12th century Reginald's Tower in Waterford, followed by a tour of Waterford Crystal Showroom where you have the opportunity to buy some fine crystal souvenirs.

Day 4 WATERFORD - BLARNEY - KILLARNEY (2 NIGHTS)

Take a scenic coastal drive south through the fishing village of Youghal, where Moby Dick was filmed, and pass through the beautiful city of Cork. Kiss the Blarney Stone at the famous Castle and acquire 'the gift of the gab'! Tonight in Killarney, enjoy a Be My Guest dining experience with your fellow travellers.

Day 5 RING OF KERRY EXCURSION

Travel through the dramatic landscape of the 'Ring of Kerry'. Admire plunging cliffs, shimmering lakes, granite mountains and jagged, wind-swept coastlines as you pass through Killorglin, the site of Puck Fair. See Cahirciveen, Waterville and Moll's Gap before returning to Killarney. Dine tonight at your hotel.

Day 6 KILLARNEY - LIMERICK - GALWAY - CASTLEBAR

See the town of Limerick, where the film ‘Angela's Ashes’ was set. Enjoy views of St. Mary's Cathedral, King John's Castle, and the Treaty Stone, where the Treaty of Limerick was signed in 1691. Visit the magnificent Cliffs of Moher, rising 120 metres above the Atlantic Ocean. Drive across the mysterious limestone landscape known as the Burren. Admire panoramic views of Galway Bay before continuing to your hotel.

Day 7 CASTLEBAR - LONDONDERRY (2 NIGHTS)

Stop at Drumcliffe to view Yeats’ grave in the tiny churchyard. North and across the border into Northern Ireland, traverse the shores of Lough Erne in Ireland’s Lake District. Visit the Ulster-American Folk Park in Omagh. In Londonderry your expert Local Guide takes you on a walking tour, showing you the city walls, some of the best-preserved in Europe, as well as the 17th century St. Columb's Cathedral. See the Craft Village and the quay where Irish emigrants sailed to the New World.

Day 8 GIANT'S CAUSEWAY EXCURSION

Marvel at the iconic Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here basalt columns left by volcanic eruptions 60 million years ago rise dramatically from the sea. The Causeway is steeped in folklore and you can walk over the enormous columns at the edge of the sea. Your Travel Director will explain how Trafalgar is contributing to the building of the new Visitors Centre, due to open in 2012.

Day 9 LONDONDERRY - BELFAST - GLASGOW (2 NIGHTS)

See the amazing sights of Belfast with your expert Local Guide including Stormont Castle, the City Chambers and Queen's University. Board the ferry at Larne and cross to Cairnryan in Scotland. Drive through spectacular Ayrshire countryside, and see Robbie Burns’ cottage on the way to Glasgow, Scotland's commercial capital.

Day 10 GLASGOW ORIENTATION AND FREE TIME

Visit St. Mungo’s Cathedral. View the city’s wonderful architecture, including the City Chambers and George Square on your orientation tour. Visit the Burrell Collection of medieval art, stained glass, tapestries, furniture and other artifacts. This afternoon enjoy an included visit to the beautiful Glengoyne whisky distillery to sample a 'wee dram'.

Day 11 GLASGOW - FORT WILLIAM - ISLE OF SKYE

Admire the magnificent scenery along the banks of Loch Lomond and don’t forget to take a picture! Hear tales of the tragic massacre of 1692 at Glencoe. Continue along the shores of Loch Linnhe in the shadow of Ben Nevis and cross the sea to the Isle of Skye. Dine tonight at your hotel on this beautiful isle.

Day 12 ISLE OF SKYE - INVERNESS - CULLODEN - SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS

Hear the legend of the monster and its many mysterious ‘sightings’ as you stop to take photos on the banks of Loch Ness. Pass the ruins of romantic Urquhart Castle on your way to visit the battlefield at Culloden, where Bonnie Prince Charlie’s army was crushed by the English. Tonight, stay in Aviemore, the renowned ski resort in the Cairngorms National Park.

Day 13 SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS - ST. ANDREWS - EDINBURGH (2 NIGHTS)

See the ecclesiastical ruins at St.Andrews and take a picture at the 18th hole of the famous Royal and Ancient golf course. Cross the Firth of Forth to the inspiring city of Edinburgh.

Day 14 EDINBURGH SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME

A sightseeing tour with your expert Local Guide includes views of Holyrood House and Arthur’s Seat at either end of the Royal Mile. See Princes Street and the new Scottish Parliament. Visit the state apartments at Edinburgh Castle then spend the afternoon as you wish. You might consider an excursion to Rosslyn Chapel, a mystical edifice with connections to the Knights Templar.
